What is the ThreatDown Reseller Partner Program?
The ThreatDown Reseller Partner Program is a three-tiered channel program designed to help partners build a differentiated and profitable cybersecurity business. It’s built around a channel-first philosophy, meaning ThreatDown invests heavily in partners rather than selling around them.
As a reseller, you gain access to:
- Generous margin discounts on eligible products and services
- Protected margins on registered deals, including renewal and expansion margin protection
- Deal registration that provides additional margin and deal exclusivity on new opportunities you bring
- Extended margins on up-sell opportunities closed in the first year of a new customer’s contract (a key differentiator compared with many industry programs)
- NFR (Not For Resale) licenses and internal-use licensing to help your team learn and demo the solutions
- Access to Market Development Funds (MDF) and customer incentive programs
The program is structured in three levels, with each tier offering its own set of requirements and benefits. As you move up, you unlock more resources, support, and go-to-market advantages tailored to your business growth.
How can ThreatDown help grow my revenue and margins?
The program is designed to help you grow revenue and improve margins across the full customer lifecycle.
Key financial growth levers include:
- Competitive standard margins on eligible products and services
- Program and deal registration margins that increase your earnings on new opportunities you originate
- Renewal margins, including renewal incumbency protection, so you’re rewarded for retaining customers
- Deal expansion margin protection on up-sell opportunities closed in the first year of a new customer’s contract, helping you land and expand within accounts
- Quarterly SPIFF programs and customer incentive programs that can boost sales performance
- Marketing Development Funds (MDF) to co-fund campaigns and events that drive pipeline
These elements work together to help you reimagine how you monetize cybersecurity solutions: you’re rewarded not just for the initial sale, but also for renewals and expansion, which can significantly increase your overall earnings potential.
What resources and support do partners receive?
ThreatDown backs the program with a broad set of enablement, marketing, and support resources so you can confidently sell and support the solutions.
Core resources available to partners include:
- Partner Experience Center (PXC) – a central portal to access sales and marketing assets, register deals, and provide free trials to customers.
- Sales and technical training – available on-demand and onsite, with online training and certifications to build your team’s skills.
- Marketing resources – MDF, co-branded collateral, access to a global campaign repository, and ongoing partner communications to help you run effective campaigns.
- Support and pre-sales help – POC and pre-sales engineering support, plus a dedicated technical support pod at higher tiers.
By tier, benefits expand as you grow:
- Silver – access to MDF, internal-use licensing, online and onsite training, and eligibility for account sales and technical certifications.
- Platinum – all Silver benefits plus lead sharing, inclusion in the partner locator, participation in the partner advisory committee, enhanced marketing support and services, and more structured joint business planning.
Across all tiers, the goal is to help you rethink how you deliver cybersecurity to customers by combining financial incentives with practical tools, training, and support.
